A three-part series for the Prison Radio Association’s National Prison Radio, on alternatives to custody for women in the UK, set in Brighton, Manchester and Gloucester, and presented by Brenda Birungi.
Brenda and I travelled across the UK to three Women’s Centres to make this series for NPR. It was broadcast within prisons, aimed at informing women who were coming up for release about the support they could receive from their local women’s centre. They were broadcast in men’s prisons too, and on public-facing podcast We Are Straightline, so they also had to be entertaining for those without a personal stake in the content. This was a fun challenge.
